| Cars are not allowed on this island. People are walking, cycling or taking a horse-drawn carriage. Visit the small palace of King Joao VI or stroll along flower gardens and colonial style houses. A very recommendable trip to escape the hectic of Rio city for a couple of hours. From Rio harbor the ride takes about one hour 15 minutes by boat and about 20 minutes by hydrofoil. |
