Buzios – Ibiza of Brazil

Fifty years ago Buzios was a plain small fisherman village. Than it was discovered by Brigitte Bardot and her Brazilian partner and became within short famous. No building is allowed more than two floors in this gorgeous vacation resort. Strict building regulations apply for hotels. Thanks to these regulations Buzios has preserved its charm in spite of lots of tourists. Especially at weekends and during high season it is very lively. There are many boutiques and Buzios night life is known all over Brazil. Besides you nevertheless also find many remote beaches for swimming or diving.

It is a truly beautiful place that is well worth a visit. If you are the type of person more used to holidaying in British seaside resorts or staying in gatwick airport hotels for business trips, then you are in for a treat. If you do visit for a day, it will be an experience you won't forget in a long time.

The bus ride from Rio takes around three hours. Allow at least one to two days for a visit to Buzios.
